Greg Lumley - Bride and Groom Getting Married under the trees

This was mailed to me by Kate’s mom Les a few days ago, if you would like to see more images please check out the gallery sneak peak here.

Hi Pam,

We celebrated my daughter’s marriage on the 21st November 2009.

Thanks to your book and Barbara at Celebration House we had a very successful wedding which made for a truly happy and memorable day.

I was one of those Mom’s who was left to do most of the organizing as Kate our daughter, is living in the UK and had just had a baby. I bought your book for myself and presented her with one as well so we were on the same wave length. Your book is a “must have” for every bride and mother of the bride, such a source of knowledge,

giving one much comfort and taking the stress out of it all. I spent the night before the wedding at the venue with Kate and the baby as we had a very early start (6.30 am) to be ready for the ceremony at 10.30. I took the book with me, as a source of comfort just in case I needed to sort something out in my mind on the day!

We used the service providers that Celebration House recommended and I want to tell you they were all excellent, we had no hitches or let downs. Our guests complimented me on how smoothly everything went and how relaxed I was, but I need to pass that compliment on to you and your service providers who seemed to go the extra mile in their passion for what they did.

Special thanks go to the following:-

Not on your list but I can recommend:

Cake, Barbara Shenfield (Cake Icing Guild) 021 785 4137 (the cake looked like a fruit cake – bottom cake was fruit cake, next layer was chocolate gnash and the top cake was vanilla all 3 covered in plastic icing. It had an arrangement of sugar flowers to match the flowers on the table. Large chocolate gnash cake also included for cutting up. It was enjoyed by all and many went back for seconds.

Fay’s Decor, Saliem who went the extra mile and made napkins for our colour scheme. 021 761 8771

Stodels Nursery, Cynthia who took a lot of trouble sourcing plants that I wanted.

Arch, Metalmorphis Mrs Abrahams 021 761 6420

Thank you again to all concerned.
Kind regards,

Les Smith
