Bonnie got married to Carl on New Years Eve, the ceremony was at the St Georges Church (Soms Delta), Franschhoek and the reception was at Vrede en Lust in Simondium (just down the road), a lot of people asked me “who gets married on new years eve??” it’s actually brilliant! Everyone is so afraid to commit to anything on the final day of the year, well that’s what I seem to find with Capetownians anyway 
This way there is no doubt about what you are going to be doing and you can get on with having a great party, there is also the fact that there is no way the bride, groom or any of their friends are going to forget the anniversary date either.
Bonnie was with without a doubt the “sparkiest” bride I’ve ever worked with, taking fun photos of her was a matter of pointing the camera in her direction.
When ever possible I try shooting wedding styled fashion when the situation allows and my brides are into it! I loved Bonnie’s dress and asked her to strike a pose in the Vrede en List Manor house doorway, a few flashes added and moments later we had the shot
