“Victorian” bridal portrait – photo of the day

Victorian Bridal Portrait Cape Town Photographer

While I was working with Michelle on her wedding day at Clouds estate I noticed a great angle through the doorway, it had a certain feel to it.

Normally I’m not big on lots of posing, rather opting for a more natural feel but in this case I asked Michelle to pose as you see in the image.

To be honest I knew there was something interesting happening but I really had not recognized it. I pulled the raw image into Photoshop started experimenting seeing where the image would “take me” that’s when it dawned on me that I’d seen this type of pose in so many Victorian images of yesteryear…

The image is not very 2010 but it certainly came out beautifully, thanks Michelle!

This photo took my breath away – absolutely BEAUTIFUL! If I were the bride, I’d blow this one up on a HUGE canvas!!!
